We are based in a unique location in East London, on the banks of  the River Lea in Hackney. Leaside delivers inspiring and engaging outdoor activities to young people.

We offer choices to young people and adults: encouraging them to stay in education, develop their confidence, leadership skills and ambition.

Operating within an educational framework, activities include canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, mountain biking, nordic walking, offsite trips orienteering and expeditions.

We are looking for a full-time (36 hours per week) Seasonal Outdoor Activity Instructor/Paddelsport Instructor to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team.

The role is a coaching position. You will have the attitude and aptitude to assist our Senior Coaching Team in the delivery of a comprehensive program of outdoor sessions, including trips and courses throughout the seven-month period of the contract, and demonstrate exemplary ability and application to the role as an example to others, both through your personal skills and professionalism.

You would support us running our 7-day a week delivery of Paddlesport (as well as off-road biking sessions, and other outdoor activities) during our busy months (April to October) and be key to delivering some ground-breaking community projects. Some evening/weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required, however there will be a rota system and you would not be expected to work every weekend and Bank Holiday.

Leaside will offer you the benefits of working with a wide variety of client groups and individuals, of all different needs and abilities, encompassing all ages.

The Leaside Trust is an Equal Opportunities employer, offering very flexible working hours supporting the 7-day operation of our centre. We are a London Living Wage Employer.
