Paddlesports

We are uniquely positioned on the river Lea to allow members, pay-and-play guests, schools, youth and community groups direct access to the water on kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards or even a leisurely cruise on our canal boat. Supported by the British Canoeing (the national governing body) we have professional qualified experienced coaches who can support all levels of ability to safely enjoy, learn and enhance skills in paddlesports.
Our fleet of craft caters for all abilities. You can experience all paddlesport disciplines including: flat water stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing; touring; whitewater kayaking and flat-water racing. We also offer day trips away and multi-day adventures.
All our paddle sports activities are open to the general public and individuals who can come along and have a pay and play or taster session.

Individuals, families, schools, private or corporate groups can book:

Leaside has a long-standing history within the paddling community and its national governing body, British Canoeing. We have been at the forefront of introducing Londoners to this unique and exciting sport. A significant number of our members have progressed into competition and have excelled at local, national and international performance levels. A vast number of our members used the skills that they have been taught to gaining professional qualifications utilising those either by volunteering or to successfully seek employment within the outdoor industry.
