No being able to swim is not compulsory as everyone has to wear personal flotation decises supplied by us. All we ask that you are confident in water in the unlikely event you fall in.
Our minimum age to participate in adventure sports activities is 8. We do have some capacity for younger children to take part in environmental education and narrow boat activities.
Unless advised otherwise, we would like everybody to present themselves at Leaside 5 minutes before start of their sessions.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our sessions, latecomers cannot be admitted.
We are unbale to take bookings by phone, individual bookings can be made using our online booking system or for group bookings please fill out an online group booking form.
All coaching staff at Leaside are suitably qualified for the activities they deliver.
We operate in all weather conditions, however we may have to adapt your session ensuring your safety at all times.
Yes, Leaside may have other groups or individuals taking part in separate sessions with a different member of staff.
We recommend that you do not bring anything of value, but we do allocate you with an area where your belongs can be left. However, Leaside can not take responsibility for your personal belongings.
Membership starts from the date of application.
Leaside membership last for 12 months.
You can pay in full, online by debit/credit card or you can select to pay by direct debit in 3 equal installments.
Boat Storage is possible for members (subject to available space).
Yes, if you choose to pay for membership by direct debit, your payment will be split in 3 equal payments:
For youth membership this would be 3 payments of £23.34
For Adult membership it would be 3 payments of £40
1st payment after you join, the second and third payment in 3 months intervals.
Our concessional rate is £50 for youth members and £110 for adult members.
Youth Membership:
Proof of DLA/PIP, Free School Meal entitlement.
Adult Membership:
Proof of DLA/PIP, Pension Credits or Job Seekers Allowance.
